First of all I am a big fan of SecondShell and I consider
this little gem on same par with ccleaner and the like.
However, AVG reported SecondShell as potential identity
theft. Thus I uploaded it to http://www.virustotal.com
for further testing and the result shows that 3 out of 42 Anti-Virus software also
indicates SecondShell as potential virus (http://www.virustotal.com/file…..294474325)
I am totally convinced by your explanation in anther
post that this is a “false positive” due to AutoHotkey and AutoIt being
identified as keyloggers. My humble suggestion is that you may consider contacting
the respective Anti-Virus vendor directly regarding the false positive so that other
uninformed users of SecondShell will not ditch this gem on the first sight of the
virus warning.
Again, thank you very much for writing such a fantastic
utility! Wish you best of luck in all future endeavors.
