SecondShell Features with demo Videos:

  • Maximize windows Horizontally or Vertically

    • When you either need longer lines or more rows, but not full screen – customizable hotkeys.
  • Move and resize windows easily

    • While pressing ALT, click anywhere in the window and drag the mouse to move.
    • While pressing ALT, right-click anywhere in the window and drag the mouse to resize. Works also with not resizable windows!
  • Minimize and close applications easily

    • Right-click anywhere in the window titlebar to minimize the window.
    • Middle-click anywhere in the window titlebar to close the application.
  • Snap windows to screen edges or corners – NEW in 2.0.1

    • CTRL + ALT + Numpad 1…9 – hotkeys can be changed in the ini file
  • Resize windows in steps – NEW in 2.0.1

    • Hotkeys and resize steps in pixels can be changed in the ini file
  • Resize browser windows to standard screen resolutions – NEW in 2.0.1

  • Use up to 10 custom hotkeys to launch your frequently used application

    • This feature, its hotkeys and application paths can be enabled and set in the configuration file.
  • Change the CapsLock button into middle mouse button – Turned off by default in 2.0.1.

    • Useful for netbook users, can be enabled in the configuration file if needed.
  • Disable and enable SecondShell with a hotkey or by double-clicking the tray icon if you need the original shell behavior temporarily.

  • Update Checker – New in 2.0.1 .

SecondShell is portable, can be unzipped to any folder, and it will NOT modify any of your settings, and will NOT touch the registry.
